Randy and his Uncle, Larry Stickler, go to the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming to chase public land elk. Great scenic views are interrupted by a great blizzard, forcing the hunters to make the best of a changing situation.

Randy fights five days of close calls, only to get his chance the last night. Words do not describe the agony of a night spent waiting to regain the trail the following morning. Aided by special friends, a marginal shot becomes a successful hunt for Randy.

Some times luck is better than skill. No place reeks of big pronghorn like West-central New Mexico and Randy has a special tag for this special place. Accompanied by his Uncle Larry Stickler, a few days of searching are rewarded with the biggest pronghorn of Randy's life.

BLM lands of Colorado are known to host a lot of hunting pressure. And thankfully, a lot of deer. It takes a few days for Randy to get it dialed in, but in the end, a fine Colorado buck crosses his path.
